Matt Bartholf is the founder of The Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Center of Charlotte. Matt completed a Master's of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Master's of Science in Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling. In helping clients make the positive changes they desire, Matt utilizes an array of respected and scientifically validated treatments. Matt's practice focuses on adolescents and adults, specializing in the treatment of anxiety, addiction, depression, career issues, and relationship problems.
Matt's approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with an emphasis on third-generation cognitive behavioral therapies. These counseling approaches have an established evidence-base, with demonstrated effectiveness in helping clients face their struggles and move towards a valued life. In addition to his two Master's degrees in Counseling, Matt has completed post-graduate education in Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Choice Theory - all which heavily influence his work.
